A few weeks ago I received an email from Samantha, a fellow Texan and follower of The Blissful Bee! Their family recently moved into a new home and were looking for some design ideas for the living room. She had seen some of my design boards here on the blog and thought she would see if I could create a design board for them. I was so happy to hear from her and couldn't wait to get started!
She sent me a few photos of the space and gave me a general outline of what she was looking for. Below is a list of some of her "must haves" for the room.

We really wanted to brighten up the room, so I chose a color pallet that would work well with the existing tile in the room as well as lighten up the space. What do you all think of the blue and yellow?? Those are two of my favorite colors - they just seem to make me smile every time I see them paired together.
I typically don't include a source list when I put together one of these design boards, but some of the main pieces are from stores we might all be familiar with. The sectional is from Ikea, the accent chairs are from Pier 1, and the rug is from Overstock. Not too shabby eh?
